PlayStation London Studio is looking for a Senior QA Tester to join our internal development team, working on their next exclusive virtual reality title following the recent launch of Blood & Truth on PSVR.
As a Senior QA Tester, you be embedded within one of our development teams and will be responsible for all testing in that area. It will be your responsibility to plan, write and carry out test plans for new features that we develop. You will work directly with developers to test features and provide qualitative feedback. You will write reports and communicate issues/quality risks directly to stakeholders. You will be responsible for coordinating tests and delegating work for other team members of our internal team as well as our external test teams.
You will be a champion of quality and will ensure that our products are shipped to the highest standards!
WHAT YOU WILL DO/RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as part of the development team to test content for VR titles
Coordinating all testing for a specific area of development.
Work closely with developers in your specified area to plan testing for features in development
Provide comprehensive reports to stakeholders on the current state of the game.
You will learn how to use our development tools and will use them to test and debug issues.
You will develop and maintain Test Plans and Test Cases. You will also review and provide feedback for test plans written by team members
Work with leads to decide which ones need to be fixed for upcoming milestones
Training new staff members and writing documentation and user guides
Identifying, investigating and reporting issues in JIRA
WHO YOU ARE/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience shipping at least one AAA title in a Senior or embedded QA role
Proven ability for bug finding, communication, reporting skills and working under pressure
Experience training and developing new members of staff.
Experience leading/coordinating tests and delegating work.
Excellent analytical, problem identification and solving skills
Experience using debug and tools to assist with testing
Excellent communicator with a high standard of written, oral and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent attention to detail, maintaining diligence and focus for extended periods
Proactively able to manage personal workload using initiative
You are knowledgeable in the different stages of a project’s development and different development methodologies
You are experienced with a variety of test tools including bug databases like Jira;
You are passionate about working on awesome games at a fantastic first party studio
Experience in creating the overall test strategy of the project
Experience testing on PlayStation platforms
Experience working in an agile environment and SCRUM methodology
Experience working within a development team
Experience writing or planning automated tests
Demonstrable experience using content creation tools (e.g. Maya, Max, Unreal Editor, etc...); either having created your own game or a previous history of tools testing
