PlayStation London Studio Game Dev Hero Award

Tara and Annie win at the Game Dev Hero Awards!

We are incredibly proud to announce that PlayStation London Studio’s very own, Annie Clare and Tara Saunders have won a Game Dev Hero Award.

Annie is our Operations Coordinator, and won the Unsung Hero award. The judges selected her for this category after other employees nominated her for the support she provides to the studio, including her contribution to the development of Blood & Truth, her efforts at boosting team morale, acting as the glue that keeps the studio together, as well as her overall approachability. From booking drones flying over London, to sorting out last minute requirements for the mocap shoots – she is part of the glue that keeps us together. Plus, she knows how to throw a party!

Tara is our Director of Studio Operations and took home the Outstanding Contribution to game development award. The judges recognised Tara’s achievements across her 20 years in the games industry, which have included working as an Animator on The Getaway, and as Studio Art Director on projects such as EyePet and Wonderbook. This is coupled with her outreach work, which includes sitting on the BAFTA Games Committee, supporting the next generation of game developers through mentoring other women in the industry, increasing diversity and inclusion, and contributing to a various academic and advisory boards.

Congratulations, both of you.

<3 from your London Studio family.
