What is Production?
The goal of Production at London Studio is to help our team make thoughtful, data informed decisions; empowering our developers to do their best work and deliver exceptional gaming experiences for our players. Production supports and encourages effective communication by facilitating meetings, establishing appropriate communication channels, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure the team is aligned and we have a unified vision.
Our Producers are very hands-on and oversee the development process. They are constantly identifying, creating, and improving our internal processes, aiming to remove friction and enhance the efficiency of the team, so that the project stays on track. They remain impartial to the project needs, balancing the creative vision and goals, technical constrains, schedule and resources. Producers use data to inform the decision-making process and predictability of the project.
As a production intern, you will be working with the production team to ensure teams across the studio are reaching their project goals. We will support you in getting started and learning all about our studio processes. We also encourage you to bring your own ideas to the table! This is an entry-level role and as such the tasks you will learn will help you to build that first critical year of your production experience. You will be learning and growing as you embark on your internship with us. We are expecting that this role will put your analytical and technical skills into good practice. We hope you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in and contribute to our next AAA project.
What you’ll be doing:
- Keep track of the team’s tasks through our project management tools.
- Participate in all our production meetings as well as onsites.
- Occasionally be responsible for meeting notes from various production and other meetings.
- Take ownership of your yearly goals and track your personal development.
- Put into practice different project management frameworks, such as scrum.
- Work closely with the producer and the rest of the team to plan the delivery of different features.
What you’ll learn:
- Industry standard project management tools
- Practical application of project management frameworks, like scrum
- Production’s role in game development
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised team player with a passion for working with people, helping them to stay on track, and empowering them to do their best work.
What we’re looking for:
