Celebrating Our Studio’s Best Place to Work Award

27/09/2023

We’ve been honoured with the 2023 GamesIndustry.Biz “Best Place to Work” Award, and the Diversity Award! This recognition is a testament to how brilliant our entire team are and reflects our commitment to continually do better for our people.

There is always more to do, so each year, not only do we reflect on how far we’ve come – but we also identify where we can still improve and formalise a way to achieve this. Over the past year, we’ve been on a mission to enhance our studio’s culture, benefits, and, most importantly, close the gender pay gap. We’re so proud of the progress we’ve made here, working closely with our people team to keep a sense of belonging and inclusivity at the heart of the employee experience, from interview stage and beyond.

Say hi to our Leadership team!

We also won this years GiBiz DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Award and were shortlisted for the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Award!

Since the start of 2021, we rolled out diversity goals formalised within people’s appraisals. Our team have embraced this and many people have engaged in mentoring, panels and speaking engagements. For example, we’ve had lots of people mentor others via Urban Synergy, ELAM, Limit Break and myGWork. We’ve also had a number of people give a talk at schools on tips to get into the industry and sit on careers councils.

Our team are passionate about encouraging new, diverse voices into the games industry as we recognise we must make an impact at school levels and beyond so that the pool of talent broadens with creatives from varied backgrounds. Last year we started our very first London Studio Internship Programme too. One of our studio values is ‘Inclusive’ and we really want to live this value, opening doors to talented people who may not have previous experience in games or a traditional education. We hope removing barriers will bring more diversity into the entire games industry. We want different voices to bring different lived experiences and challenge our thinking.

As we celebrate these awards, we won’t lose sight of the fact that a studio is only as good as its people. Everyone’s growth, well-being, and success are central to our goals here, and always will be. <3
